Common questions about Workmax pricing.
How is pricing calculated?
Pricing is a £25 monthly platform fee plus a per-active-user charge for each enabled module. Care & EVV is £5, HR is £3, and Payroll, Scheduling, Time Tracking, Expenses and Compliance are each £2 per active user per month. Compliance requires HR, making the combined user charge £5. Prices exclude VAT.
Do I need to be a care provider to use Workmax?
No. Workmax is built especially well for care operations, but any UK business can use the payroll, HR, time tracking, holidays, scheduling and expenses modules. Care providers can add Care & EVV for visit verification, care tasks and care records.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Annual billing gives you 15% off. Any billing change is confirmed before it takes effect.
What happens if my employee count changes?
A person whose Workmax account remains active and has the relevant module enabled during the billing month. Additions are prorated from activation; deactivated users stop billing from the next billing period.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Absolutely. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period on the 6th of the month for monthly plans.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. Month-to-month with 30 days' notice.
Are there any hidden fees?
Prices exclude VAT. There is no setup fee, per-pay-run charge or per-visit charge for Care & EVV users.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. The standard trial is 30 days.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and Amex. For Enterprise plans, we can arrange invoice billing.
